Duration: 9H
– Oporto: The trip to Bairrada lasts approximately 9 hours. Beginning in Oporto, at 9h00, we’ll travel to Anadia, a municipality located in the Demarcated Region of the Bairrada Wines, closely linked to the production of wine.
– Anadia: We suggest starting the Tour in this region with a visit to Adega Campolargo, that has a long history of vineyard culture and wine production. For approximately 45 minutes, follow the entire winemaking process and taste the nectars of the house!
After the visit to the vineyard, we suggest you to stop at Espaço Bairrada - Curia, the mother house of this Route, located in the old Curia railway station, which offers visitors a unique experience!
– Mealhada: We’ll continue towards Mealhada, for a lunch at “Rei dos Leitões”, a comfortable, cozy and modern restaurant, where, as the name indicates, the suckling pig is a special dish! With a reputation that has remained since 1947, the year in which it opened, here is where you can taste the best “Leitão”. But the gastronomic offer is extensive and qualified: from the entrees to the desserts, you’ll have several delicacies to choose from!
–Luso OR Anadia:After the meal, we suggest you to choose between two options:
- Travel to Luso, a thermal village located at the foot of the Bussaco Mountain. With a serene, almost magical exuberance, Bussaco Forest invites you to unite with nature, through unique pedestrian paths that will lead you to discover an Oasis in the Center of Portugal.
- Alternatively, we can return to Anadia, where we suggest you to visit the Bairrada Wine Museum, one of the most visited wine museums in Portugal every year, followed by a stop at the Aliança Underground Museum, where it is possible to experience a new concept of wine and art. And at the end, a toast with a glass of sparkling wine!
– Oporto: Afterwards, we’ll begin our journey back to Oporto, where we’ll finish our services.
